Grading

Attendance

Attendance is recommended to all lectures and workshop sessions and required in your assigned workshop session and final project presentation sessions

Workshop presentations

  • Grade = 10%
    • Presentation (5%)
    • Send your questions by form before workshops (5%)
  • Present a paper in a workshop is required to pass the course
  • No second chance

Test exam (June 14th)

  • Grade = 30%
  • At least 6 in the exam is required to pass the course (5.99 is not enough)
  • Retake opportunity if grade is between 4.0 and 5.99
  • No retake opportunity if grade is lower than 4.0 or higher than 5.99

Final project 

  • Literature reviews
    • Grade = 20%
    • Each week there is an assignment about a literature review of one topic (5 assignments in total)
    • Submit at least 4 of the 5 assignments is required to pass the course
    • Each assignment counts 0,5 points for the final grade (max. of 2 points for the final grade in total)
      • 0,1 point for solution explained into the review (max. 0,4 points)
      • 0,1 point for a reasoned comparison of solutions.
  • Presentation of your research (June 20th and 21st)
    • Grade = 10% (5% students grade and 5% teachers grade)
    • Present your research is required to pass the course
    • Attendance to both presentations sessions is a requirement to get the students grade
    • No second chance
  • Final project’s paper (June 26th at 23:59)
    • Grade = 20%
    • Resubmit opportunity if grade is between 4.0 and 5.5
    • No resubmit opportunity if grade is lower than 4.0 or higher than 5.5

Participation

  • Grade = 10%
    • Participate in activities and discussions proposed during lectures and workshops (5%)
    • Ask your questions in at least 2 workshops (5%)
